INFORMATION

Workshops (known previously as ‘Small Groups’ or ‘Groups’) enable teams to specialize on an area in particular, or on a problem. They are well suited for example to ‘Groupements de Recherche‘ (GdRs) or to activities supported by the Agence Nationale de la Recherche (ANR), or in order to take stock after a former larger event or even with the view to celebrate a special event.

Teams of organizers that would like to organize a Workshop at CIRM should describe in details what their objectives are and what this meeting could bring in terms of new developments on a topic.

CIRM is keen to develop Workshops that may be attended both by members of the public and private sectors, as well as cross-disciplinary groups. As always, CIRM favours teams of organizers which are international,  gender-balanced and with diverse experience.

Note

  • Workshops are not subsidized by CIRM. They must find external funding to pay for board, lodging and other facilities at the centre.
  • Proposals can be placed at any time. Note that this type of events runs alongside other larger events (Conferences and Research Schools)
  • Your proposal will be studied by CIRM’s international Scientific Committee. A decision is made usually within 4-6 weeks.
  • If the proposal is successful, the Events Coordinator will make suggestions for dates according to our calendar’s vacancies. Discuss with her any idea you may have, let her know if you would like to have more participants, she will be able to advise you on possibilities.
