CIRM-Audiovisual Mathematics Library
Cirm hosts the world’s mathematics. Over 4500 researchers meet here every year to exchange and disseminate their knowledge. As part of the Carmin Laboratory of Excellence, the Cirm wanted to store and promote this scientific data.
The Audiovisual Mathematics Library is an advanced platform built on a corpus of lectures given by mathematicians from all over the world during their time at Cirm. This platform provides all the functionalities of a high-level documentary search on a base of catalogued and enriched films.

A second edition of the ‘Pays du Sud’ Chair, at CIRM, in 2026. This program, launched in 2024 with financial support from CNRS and in partnership with CIMPA, is designed to promote scientific collaboration between France and Africa. This Chair enables CIRM to host a researcher affiliated with a university or research institute in Africa and a researcher from a French institution (University/CNRS). The chairholder and his/her partner will organize research activities around a theme and a project.

The establishment of this new chair at CIRM draws on our experience: the Chaire Jean-Morlet, CIRM’s flagship international program for ten years, and our many programs with Africa and the South (CIRM-AIMS, CIRM-CIMPA Residencies and Fellowships, etc.).
Mathematics for everyone
Cirm expands its programming and offers several activities throughout the year to a secondary school audience: the Cicadas (mathematical school for high school girls), high school days, the Science Festival, a catalog of accessible videos, etc.
A stay at Cirm, a French scientific research hub, can encourage young people to take up scientific careers. For secondary school students, coming to Cirm is an opportunity that can have a lasting influence on their future. Several schemes exist to date and differ greatly in duration and target audience:
The Cicadas, this school was launched in October 2019 and aims to participate in the dissemination of scientific culture and spirit while fighting against the disaffection of women for this theme.
Dissemination days: a whole day dedicated to high school students of the Aix-Marseille Academy.
Science festivals, exhibitions, etc.
