JEAN-MORLET CHAIR |
CIRM attracts mathematicians from all over the world. Each year, over 4500 researchers meet here to exchange ideas and share their knowledge.
As part of the CARMIN Labex initiative, CIRM keeps an audiovisual record of these research activities and makes films available to all. The Audiovisual Mathematics Library is a sophisticated platform built on a corpus of talks given by worldwide mathematicians during their stay at CIRM. Over 1000 videos are available, with a high number offering enriched material such as cue points to enable chaptering, multiple synced video streams and deep search. |
Welcome to France!
Math in France is an institutional website dedicated to the international mathematical community. Browse through the mathematical opportunities France offers to foster collaborations. Get an overview of the structuring of mathematical research in France and grab all the keys to get in touch with the French mathematical community. Math in France was created under the supervision of the National Institute for Mathematical Sciences and their Interactions (INSMI) - CNRS. |

INTERVIEW AT CIRM: THOMAS LECUIT
Thomas Lecuit is Director of Research at CNRS, Professor at 'Collège de France', and holder of the 'Dynamiques du vivant' Chair. He leads a research team at the Institute of Developmental Biology of Marseille (IBDM - Aix-Marseille University, CNRS), and the Turing Center for Living Systems, an interdisciplinary center dedicated to the study of living things. Thomas Lecuit, member of the French Academy of Sciences elected in 2014, is one of the recipients of the 2015 CNRS Silver Medal. He leads the project "Self-Control - Biomechanics of epithelial cells and tissues" winner of the Institut Convergences call for projects supported by the Programme d'Investissement d'Avenir co-financed by the ANR and the A*MIDEX foundation. He gave a lecture at Cirm in the framework of the research school "Mathematical models and organization of living matter" (March 28-April 1, 2022), whose scientific committee was composed by Florence Hubert (Aix-Marseille University), Pierre-Emmanuel Jabin (Pennsylvania State University) and Anna Marciniak-Czochra (University of Heidelberg), organized by Luis Almeida (CNRS - Sorbonne University), Vincent Calvez (CNRS - Université Lyon 1), Marie Doumic (INRIA Paris), Benoît Perthame (Sorbonne University) and Patricia Reynaud-Bouret (CNRS - Université Côte d'Azur). |
