Cirm produces quality videos on mathematics
Researchers meet at Cirm each year in order to exchange and disseminate their knowledge and new findings. This wealth of information is recorded and promoted through high-quality audiovisual scientific documents.
Cirm has invested in top-of-the-range material in order to record, edit and produce a catalogue of high-quality videos which are indexed and can therefore be viewed in short chapters, with meta-data enabling a more refined web search. This initiative is also one shared with the CARMIN consortium of centres linking CIRM with CIMPA, IHES and IHP.
CIRM has organized its collections under several headings such as "Research talks" dealing with recent scientific progress and clearly aimed at mathematicians, "Research schools" which contains lectures especially targeted at young mathematicians, "Special events" which may celebrate an area of maths or a person in particular, and "Outreach", which is a general public collection.
